Yes, it's finally that time of the year before THE year that's been talked about since the 80's. We don't know what exactly will happen during 2012, but I have the feeling something major definitely will. Nevertheless, this should not stop you from moving ahead with whatever plans you want to make. If/when the shit hits the fan, then switch daily living tracks to 'pomp & circumstances' and see if the Graduation events are drawing to a close.

Whatever it will be, there is nothing anyone or any combination of us can do to change things. The American Empire lives for the next war of planetary sequentialization. It's like Germany in 1939 but on a grander scale since Germany was interested primarily in Europe. The American Empire wants the world. It is much more ambitious with alien technology working for you.

Meanwhile we are once again in the throws of otherwise intelligent people all swaying to tunes for mythological characters. Santa? Nope. Easter Bunny? Nope, wrong time of the year for that one. How about the 3 Stooges? No, they were real guys. Think christian pantheon...yes, the historically fictitious trio Jesus, Mary and Joe. They never existed and their 'one god' is alien. There is no reasoning with their followers. It is part of their DNA command structure to beLIEve and obey.

I really like the melodies of these songs but the lyrics need to go in the religious tunes. Love the lights, trees, ornaments, jingle bells, silver bells and carol of the bells, but spare me the nativities and religious hoo-hah. Giving mythological religious icons this devotional energy is just so spiritually immature and sequential.

Oh what fun it is to ride to something you can use, if you choose. I wrote Bayberry Candle Magic for a newsletter a few years ago and have updated it. So those, for whom M5 is written, can elect, if they like, to engage in this magic. Considering how bad things are getting by the day, I will. Actually, I've done this every year since I learned it.

So very soon, 2012 will be here. Do enjoy while you can what you want to enjoy.

The October 28th thing never came to pass, although I would have been surprised if it did. The end-of-the-world pronouncements of one person have been historically in error. The 2012 Solstice one is coming from many sources around the world, not just the Mayan calendar. As always, time will tell, but time is running out. Trust in YOUR Higher Self. Triple Ho's!!!

Bayberry Candle Magic

For optimum luck in the coming year, burning a bayberry candle twice in December is an old tradition. In 2011, the Winter Solstice occurs on December 22 at 12:33am EST.  Ideally the first bayberry should be lit on December 21, in the evening so that it will complete the burn after the sun has entered Capricorn.

The second day to burn a bayberry candle is December 31 - New Year’s Eve. This one should be started in early evening. The candle should be lit so that it completes burning on January 1.

The candles must be true bayberry and not green coated, white candles. I usually get mine in the local Hallmark store.

Preparing the bayberry candle: By the day you will burn the candle, have an unused nail, one never hit by a hammer. Use this nail to engrave on the candle. From the top to the bottom of the candle, using the nail, carve in your name. Turn the candle a bit, and then engrave your birth date, again from top to bottom.

Turn the candle more and write what you want for the coming year from top to bottom. Some ideas: good health, good finances…whatever you want, but caution against being greedy, such as ‘be a millionaire’, ‘rule the world’, etc. If you have access to a scented oil: sandalwood, for example or, if lurking around Salem, MA, the many witch shops there sell various ‘luck’ oils, use the oil on your candle. Apply the oil to your dominant hand, from outside index finger to thumb. Place your oiled hand on the center of the candle and move it up to the wick. As you do this, think of the intents of your engravings. Do this three times.

Then flip the candle and repeat the above but move your hand from center of candle to candle’s base.  The upper burning of the candle takes your intent outward into the spirit realm and the lower half of the candle encourages your intent to manifest. Put the prepared candle in a candlestick. I put the candlestick on a plate and get cuttings of holly and pine, surrounding the bottom of the candlestick with a bit of these evergreens. Don’t pile them on, just a bit. When you are ready to light the candle, have it in an area where it will not be knocked over by the dog or a bad pussy. Cats are especially attracted to things magical and psychic.

Light the wick. Bring your hands to either side of the candle, near the lighted wick, and, in your mind, think of what you want for the coming year. Once you are satisfied that your intent is clear, just walk away and do whatever it is you want to do.  When you get up the next day, check what remains. If the candle burns without drips, there was no opposition. If the candle has drips, there was opposition that was overcome. The candle MUST be allowed to burn itself out.

You can just toss the evergreens outside. For any wax on the candlestick that won’t come off, put the candlestick in the freezer. Take it out a bit later and the wax will be easy to remove.  Repeat this on New Year’s Eve. I hope your magic works for you.
