This month's issue begins with some critical feedback on the last missive from a reader, followed by a personal letter from Dr.DD , head of the the Chicago Group of Scientists to Leading Edge Research Group, readers and friends, with some thoughts on several of the controversial aspects of their missive in the last issue #117 Dec 98, many of them posed by the initial critical feedback letter.

Latest Update on Global Changes, Chicago Research Group, 4 January 1999
The latest missive received from the group. Discusses some of the results and impact of last months bold global experiment, more on the concept of prophecies, prediction and time flow, why Alex Collier' predicted fly-by hasn't flown by, linear and non-linear time and coodinate systems, more on strategic and tactical scenarios, mind and behavior control through the manipulation of time and space event horizons using biophysical time flux parameters to alter reality and perception of the population for political purposes, and more. "Democracy Without Elections" A fascinating piece by social analyst and troubleshooter Brian Martin, discussing the concept and practice of election, its relationship to dominent social power structures, the nature of democracy relative to the process of election, mass media techniques. Martin gives a summary of the case against elections as we know them, he looks at some of the methods favoured by those supporting participatory democracy, actual rule by the people, versus rule by "elected representatives", and he presents the concept of 'demarchy', a participatory system based on random selection as a viable alternative for the current system. These are important theoretical developments which may provide a transitionary platform for social change. Very interesting material.

"Institutionalized Tyranny: The Character and Color of Authority"
A seminal piece by Dan Meador which looks at the legal system and its loopholes which have resulted in the undermining of the sovereignty and solvency of the United States of America, as well as a superb legal analysis of how Federal, State and local governments make end-runs around Constitutional limitations on use of power and authority.

Time Wars: An Update

Back in October 1998 we had a section in the LEIRG called "Time Wars". This is a January 5, 1999 update to that file (includes the Oct 98 portion) which takes current time-spectrum events, or alleged events, into consideration.
Astrological Profile Update

In a previous issue we began including periodic astrological viewpoints from the best in the field which assess planetary events. This is a January 6, 1999 update. Death from the Sky: New Dark Aspects of Overt/Covert Military Activity in the United States
You can tell the progressive state of a planet by looking at how much it suppresses or promotes consciousness and awareness. As far as Earth is concerned, it's in deep doo-doo! Starting in 1997, or some say even earlier, the U.S. Military, following previous patterns in their 45-year long series of biological incursions on the United States population, have been flying unmarked high-flying aircraft (USAF and other) over the U.S., and have been spraying chemicals in enigmatic patterns in the skies over the United States. The contrails from these chemicals form cirrus-like cloud formations, followed by acute respiratory distress and neurophysiological problems for the population below the area. Similar activity is believed to be going on, based on sporadic news reports, in some other parts of the world, such as England.
