Adventures Beyond The Body: How to Experience Out of Body Travel |
William Buhlman, 1996 |
A very good HOW-TO book on initiating and managing OBE. I have read many of his works - this is the most useful. Plenty of good information in this and not much distortion. However, the rest of his books diverge into lightside reality and are based more on assumptions than actual experiential knowledge. |

Far Journeys |
Robert Monroe, 1985 |
One of the more interesting books in the trilogy. Most useful for Matrix V readers who have the discernment to break through any mis-assumptions Monroe might have had, and the many parables through which Monroe relates his experiences. A richly detailed piece of work. |

Journeys Out of the Body |
Robert Monroe, 1971,1973 | Monroe's first book, which broke a lot of ground at the time. A lot of interesting observations as Monroe learned to work with his new-found abilities. |

|
Out of Body Experiences: How to Have Them and What to Expect | Robert Peterson, 1997 | Robert Peterson has some very good HOW-TO information and a variety of techniques which make his books very informative for the novice to OBE. |
|
Astral Travel |
Gavin & Yvonne Frost |
Very good book that also goes into the area of personal protection measures. |
|
| Projections of the Consciousness: A Diary of Out-of-Body Experiences | Waldo Vieira, 1997 | This book was a very interesting read, and contains a host of observations regarding the OBE experience which are not covered in many other books. Worth having in your library. Waldo invents a number of unique terms to describe various aspects of OBE. | |

Robert Monroe, 1994 | Not the original manuscript, which was heavily redacted and edited, because Monroe (read Gov't, which controls Monroe Institute) didn't want some things out there which might 'disturb' some readers. His daughter retains the original, which will never see the light of day. | |
| Traveling The Interstate of Consciousness: Using Hemi Sync to Access States of Non-Ordinary Reality | Patricia Leva, 1977 | Heavily dosed with the tech-work of Monroe Institute, nurse (RN) Patricia Leva's book is a mid-level introductory work which buys into some polarity-induced red herrings, but some of it is an interesting read, despite the tech push and the light-sider orientation. | |
| Out-Of-Body Exploring: A Beginner's Approach | Preston Dennett, 2004 | A newcomer to the scene, Preston Dennett's book title doesn't quite reflect the totality of what's in his book, which is mostly a collection of reflections on his lucid dreams. | |
| Astral Projection: A Record of Out of the Body Experiences | Oliver Fox | Oliver Fox was a explorer in the 1920's who lived in England, and produced some of the earliest works exploring astral travel. Colorful observations, but very primitive. | |
